Care Support Worker Applicants:
For clinical safety reasons, recruitment to the NHS Professionals bank requires Care Support
Worker candidates to have had a minimum of three months hospital care experience within the
previous two years. Inevitably this means that many applications have to be turned down from
people who would otherwise make excellent Care Support Workers. However, Stockport NHS Foundation
Trust runs a Pre-employment Course and thanks to the close cooperation between NHS Professionals
and the Trust a minimum of five places is allocated on each course for NHS Professionals candidates.
For further information or if you are interested in applying for the Pre-employment course you should
contact Pauline Harris, NHS Professionals Trust Liaison Co-ordinator on the number above.
