New Neo-natal and Maternity Building

A new neo-natal and maternity development will open in late Autumn 2009. The neo-natal department will incorporate 21st Century neo-natal design and parental care.

The first floor will incorporate a new theatre, redesign of the existing theatre and a new 4 bed ward.

Total investment for the scheme is £3.25M.

Oak House Reception & Café

As part of the capital investment in making a good first impression, the Trust has upgraded the Oak House ground floor into its main entrance.

As a focal point, the main entrance provides a fully staffed main reception where the public are met in a welcoming environment and supported in their journey through the hospital.

Supporting this provision is the rolling programme of developing the shops and cafés throughout the Stepping Hill site. The much improved shop and café will allow patients, visitors and staff to enjoy a range of refreshments in a comfortable environment overlooking the piazza.

Also included as part of the scheme is the development of two purpose built, state of the art conference rooms with modern audio visual facilities and the flexibility to become one combined room.
